Mutton Kaleji Recipe

Most people eat mutton kaleji on eid after they sacrifice their animal. With this recipe, you can make yummy kaleji in few minutes. Don’t over cook it or it will turn hard. Wash liver before cooking it.

Ingredients Of Mutton Kaleji

  • 1/2 kg mutton kaleji/ liver
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. red chili powder
  • 1 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. coriander powder
  • 1tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp. cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp. all spices powder (garam masala)
  • 3 ground tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3-4 chopped green chilies
  • Green coriander for garnishing

Method Of Mutton Kaleji

  • Heat oil in a pan. Stir fry ginger and garlic paste for few seconds and then add kaleji/ liver in it.
  • When liver changes it color then add tomato paste, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder and all spices powder.
  • Let it cook for 5-7 minutes. When liver gets soft and water dries up then add lemon juice and green chilies.
  • At this stage, kaleji will leave oil. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

  • Olives 3 tbsp.
  • Mushrooms 4 slices
  • Chicken chunks 1/2 cup, or any type of cooked chicken
  • Oregano 2 tsp.
  • Tomato chunks
  • Capsicum chunks
  • Grated cheddar cheese 1 cup

Method Of Bread Pizza

  1. First, cut bread edges.
  2. Now set on a baking tray and spread pizza sauce.
  3. Together put any vegetable slices, olives, mushroom slices, chicken chunks, oregano and grated cheddar cheese and bake at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes.

Ingredients Of Fried Jumbo Prawns

  • Jumbo Prawns ½ kg
  • Flour 1 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Bread Crumbs 1 cup
  • Black pepper ½ Tsp
  • Salt ½ Tsp
  • Red Chilies (Crushed) 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice 2 tbsp
  • Roasted Cumin 1 tsp
  • Oil for fry

Method Of Fried Jumbo Prawns

  • First, devein ½ kilo jumbo prawns.
  • Now add ½ Tsp black pepper, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp roasted cumin, ½ salt and 1 Tsp crushed red chilies and leave the prawns to marinate for 1 hour. Put in fridge.
  • Now coat the prawns with 1 cup flour. After this coat the prawns in 1 egg and roll in 1 cup bread crumbs. Deep fry the prawns in hot oil.
  • Serve hot with any dip of your choice.

Ingredients Of Vanilla White Chocolate Cake

  • 1 and 1/2 cups butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1  and1/2 tsp. vanilla essence
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 and 3/4 cups flour
  • 1tbsp + 1tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 Tsp. salt

For Buttercream Frosting

  • butter 250 gm. at room temp
  • 2 cups icing sugar, sifted
  • 60ml whipping cream
  • 180 gm. white chocolate, melted
  • 1 Tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 Tsp. salt
  • any colors of your choice

Method Of Vanilla White Chocolate Cake

  • Sift all dry ingredients. Set them aside.
  • Beat butter, sugar and vanilla essence till it’s creamy and fluffy.
  • Add 2 eggs at a time and mix till all six eggs are mixed well.
  • Add half dry ingredients and half milk and mix well. Now add remaining dry ingredients and milk and mix well.
  • Pour this batter into two 8 inch pans and bake at preheated oven at 180 degrees until toothpicks come out clean. Let the cakes cool down completely.

Buttercream Frosting

  • Beat butter till it is light and fluffy. Add sifted icing sugar gradually.
  • Add melted chocolate and beat it well. Now add the color of your choice.
  • Add cream and vanilla extract and salt. Mix well till it’s fluffy.
  • Now decorate your cake according to your design and be creative.

Chocolate Fudge Cake Recipe

This chocolate fudge cake is heaven for chocolate lovers. I can die for this cake. My kids love this and you can make it for birthday parties or as dessert after lunch or dinner. Sorry for little messy frosting but taste was heavenly good.

Ingredients OF Chocolate Fudge Cake

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tsp baking soda

Wet Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup curd (yogurt without water)
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 2 eggs

For Fudge Frosting

  • 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Method Of Chocolate Fudge Cake

  • Beat all wet ingredients together. Add dry ingredients in them and beat again.
  • Grease two pans and pour batter equally in them. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes or till your cake is baked fully.
  • Cool down your both cakes fully.

For Fudge Frosting

  • Melt the chocolate in the microwave – 2 to 3 minutes on medium should do it – or in a bowl sitting over a pan of simmering water, and let cool slightly.
  • In another bowl beat the butter until it’s soft and creamy (again, I use the stand mixer here) and then add the sifted confectioners’ sugar and beat again until everything’s light and fluffy. I know sifting is a pain, the 1 job in the kitchen I really hate, but you have to do it or the icing will be unsoothingly lumpy. Then gently add the vanilla and chocolate and mix together until everything is glossy and smooth.
  • Sandwich the middle of the cake with about a quarter of the icing, and then ice the top and sides, too, spreading and smoothing with a rubber spatula

I love this red velvet cake recipe because it also has a chocolate flavor in it and this recipe always turns out perfect. You can use cream cheese frosting with it or whipped cream. I used whipped cream for frosting and I made flowers with royal icing. If you want your cake to be even redder, increase the food coloring by one to three tablespoons. If you don’t have buttermilk then add 1tsp vinegar in 1 cup of milk and leave it for 10 minutes. Your buttermilk is ready.

  • Flour 2 -1/2 cup
  • Eggs 2
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Cocoa 1/4 cup
  • Buttermilk 1 cup
  • Sugar (grind it) 1 -1/2 cup
  • Red food color 1 tsp or as needed
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Baking soda 1 -1/2 Tsp
  • White Vinegar 2 Tsp
  • Salt pinch

Method Of Red Velvet Cake

  • Preheat oven and grease 2 round pans.
  • In a bowl add flour, salt, and cocoa and set aside.
  • Add Oil and sugar in a large bowl beat well till it is all creamy. Now add eggs one by one. beat well and add Vanilla essence and food color.
  • Now add half flour alternating with buttermilk.

  • Mix vinegar and soda in a small bowl and add to the batter. Mix well and pour batter into pans and bake till done.
  • Cool them completely and start icing of your choice. Decorate as you like.

  • 4 pita bread
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • Iceberg or salad leaves
  • Mayonnaise as needed
  • Grilled chicken
  • 1 tbsp mustard sauce
  • 1 onion rings

Method Of Chicken Pita Wraps

  • Mix mustard sauce in mayonnaise and put it aside.
  • Assemble the wraps by warming the pita bread over the stove burner for a few seconds. Then spread about a tablespoon of the sauce on top of the bread. Place the lettuce and vegetables on one side of the wrap. Then scoop a large amount of chicken and top it off with more sauce.
  • Serve hot and enjoy. You can also add cucumbers and capsicum in it.

You can cook chicken daleem with chicken, mutton or beef. Don’t forget to soak all lentils overnight. Following recipe of chicken haleem is made by famous chef Shireen Anwar on her show masala mornings.

Ingredients Of Chicken Daleeem

  • Chicken boneless 1 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Brown onion 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 3 tbsp
  • Salt 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Allspice 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Wheat 1/2 kg
  • Chana daal 1 cup
  • Mong daal 1/4 cup
  • Red lentils 1/4 cup
  • Arhar ki daal 1/4 cup
  • Mash daal 1/4 cup

Method Of Chicken Daleem

  • Soak wheat overnight. Rinse under tap water thoroughly in the morning.
  • Cook this wheat with 12 cups of water so much so that it is finely tender and is in a thick form.
  • Cook chana daal, mong daal, red lentils, arhar ki daal, mash ki daal and rice together until all of them are tender.
  • Heat up oil in a pan and fry ginger garlic paste for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add red chili powder, a little bit of water, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Mix well.
  • Add red onion, yogurt, and salt. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • Add boneless chicken and cook till finely tender.
  • Mash chicken with its mixture very well.
  • Take another pan and pour all tender daals. Blend these daals with a hand blender or regular blender and add tender wheat in it. Blend again.
  • Mix chicken mixture and wheat + daal blended the mixture together. Mix very well.
  • Cook and keep mixing haleem at the same time.
  • Heat up oil for bhagar and fry sliced onion till golden brown.
  • Pour this bhagar over haleem and garnish with sliced ginger, Garam Masala and fresh coriander leaves and serve.

Quick Banoffee Pie Recipe

The combination of toffee sauce, bananas and cream make the yummiest dessert of this world and its called quick banoffee pie. I love every bite of this pie.  For quick banoffee pie, I used ready made the carnation caramel sauce by Nestle.. I made the base of biscuits for this pie. You can also use the pie crust for it.

Ingredients Of Quick Banoffee Pie

For Base

  • 100gm butter
  • 250 gm digestive biscuits

For Filling

  • 4 bananas
  • 300ml whipped cream
  • 397g can carnation caramel
  • Chocolate syrup and chips for decoration

Method Of Quick Banoffee Pie

  • Put the crushed biscuit into a bowl with the melted butter. Mix it together thoroughly, then press the mixture into the base and sides of your tin. Chill for ten minutes. This will form the base of your easy banoffee pie.
  • Spread the caramel over the base. Just spread it out with a spoon or a spatula – there’s no need to beat.
  • Slice the bananas and scatter them over the top, then put the cream on top and decorate with grated chocolate. Just keep it in the fridge until you’re ready.

Chicken Steaks Recipe

Don’t know what to cook in dinner tonight then go for chicken steaks. You cant go wrong with these chicken steaks and if you don’t have grill pan then don’t worry. You can also make them in your regular pan. I served these steaks with white mushroom sauce. You can also serve them with pineapple sauce or black pepper sauce.The steak can be served with rice, or mashed potatoes, or even roasted baby potatoes…whatever you like best. Marinate chicken in the ingredients below for at least 2 hours.

Ingredients Of Chicken Steak Recipe

  • 2 chicken breasts, trimmed and pounded lightly to flatten
  • 1 tbs French mustard paste
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1tsp crushed black pepper
  • 3 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder (optional)
  • 1 lemon
  • Salt according to taste
  • ¼ cup oil

For White Mushroom Sauce

  • 1 tin button mushrooms
  • 2tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Method Of Chicken Steaks

  • Marinate chicken steaks with above list of ingredients and leave it for 2 hours at least.
  • Heat a hot steak pan or heavy griddle, add 2 tbsp. of oil to it and fry the steak on medium heat for about 10 minutes per side. Then increase the heat and give it a final fry of about 3-4 minutes per side or until it begins to slightly char. Do not crowd the pan, fry a few pieces at a time.

For Sauce

  • Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat; stir in flour. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes. Do not brown. take off from heat and then gradually stir in milk and continue cooking over low heat, stirring constantly, until sauce begins to thicken. Season it with salt and white pepper.
  • Sauté mushrooms in butter and add it in white sauce. Now pour white mushroom sauce over chicken steaks.
  • Serve with grilled vegetables and garlic bread.

This recipe was passed onto me by my dear sister in law. Behari keema tastes so good with parathas green chutney and onions salad. The coal gives it a unique aromatic flavor. I took mutton beef for this recipe. You can also use beef.

  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. ginger garlic paste
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. crushed red chilies
  • 1 tsp. hot spices powder
  • 1 tsp. coriander powder
  • 1 cup fried onions
  • 1 cup oil
  • Green chilies 3-4

Method Of Behari Keema

  • Marinate mince with yogurt, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilies, coriander powder for 1 hour.
  • Now heat oil in a pan and add marinated mince in it. Cook covered on low heat till the water dries up and mince become soft.
  • Now add paste of fried onions and green chilies in it. Add all spices powder and cook on high flame till oil comes on a surface.
  • place a piece of foil on the mince add the hot coal, spoon oil on the hot coal, and cover, till the smoke settles.
  • serve hot with onion rings, green chili, lemon wedges.

  • 170 gm. butter
  • 1 +1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 200ml milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 egg
  • 200 gm. blueberries

Method Of Blueberries Muffins

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  • Melt butter and add yogurt, milk, egg and vanilla essence in it.
  • In another bowl mix all dry ingredients. Which includes flour, baking powder.
  • Now add egg and yogurt mixture into dry ingredients and mix well till all things are combined.
  • Now fold blueberries in it.
  • Put in a muffin tray and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 180 degrees or till its baked fully and turns golden in color.

Besan Halwa Recipe

Besan halwa or gram flour halwa is a specialty of winters. You can store this halwa up to months in the fridge. For perfect halwa make sure to make it on low flame and in the nonstick pan as besan burns easily. I always use milk and ground sugar in making this halwa. I don’t like much sweet so you can adjust sugar according to your taste.

Ingredients Of Besan halwa

  • 2 cups gram flour
  • 1 cup sugar, ground
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 cup Balai (milk cream, optional)
  • 6 cardamoms
  • Almonds and pistachios for garnishing, chopped

Method Of Besan Halwa

  • Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add cardamoms and fry them for few seconds.
  • Add gram flour and cook it on very low flame stirring continuously. You have to cook the gram flour at least for 15-20 minutes or until you feel its aroma and its cooked. Add half Balai after 10 minutes and another half after 20 minutes.
  • Add sugar and mix it well. When sugar dissolves then increase the flame to medium and add milk and stir until milk is mixed thoroughly. Stir it continuously at this stage.
  • Stop cooking when halwa leaves the ghee. Add nuts and serve it hot or cold.

Christmas is just around the corner and its celebrations are incomplete without Christmas cookies. Here is the easiest recipe for cookies which you can make with your kids and grandkids. You can make any shape of biscuits and can do any icing you like by adding different colors.

Ingredients Of Christmas Cookies

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk

Royal Icing

  • 3-3/4 to 4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 3 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 5 to 6 tablespoons warm water
  • Use any colors of your choice

Method Of Christmas Cookies

  • In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut out cookies into desired shapes and place 2 in. apart on a greased baking sheet
  • . Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Yield: 8 dozen.

Royal Icing

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Beat on high speed with a portable mixer for 10-12 minutes or on low speed with a stand mixer for 7-10 minutes or until peaks form. Yield: 3 cups.

Ingredients Of Chocolate Cookie Cups

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp. corn flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 eggs

For Chocolate Sauce

  • 1 cup cooking chocolate
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method Of Chocolate Cookie Cups

  • Preheat the oven to 350F. Have two mini muffin pans ready.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda, corn flour, and chocolate chips.
  • Melt the butter and then cool it down. add brown sugar in it and mix with the electric beater. add vanilla essence and egg one by one. Mix well.
  • Add dry ingredients and fold with the spoon. Put in fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Now take a cookie dough mixture and roll it with rolling pin and cut small round circles. Place circles of dough into prepared muffin cups tray press down lightly in the center to make a well.
    BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are set. Cool in pans on wire racks for 5 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
  • Chocolate Filling
  • Mix all ingredients of chocolate sauce and cook till it thickens. fill the cookie cups with sauce and serve

Devil chocolate cake is really very easy to make and it is super moist and yummy. I tried this recipe of famous chef Nigella Lawson. The icing on this cake is little tricky. The secret is to make it before making your cake. While you’re making it, don’t panic. The mixture will seem very runny for ages once the chocolate has melted and you will think you have a liquid gleaming glaze, beautiful but unfit for purpose; leave it for about an hour, as stipulated, though, and it will be perfect and spreadable. I used simple sugar of this cake.

Ingredients Of Devil Chocolate Cake

  • 50 grams best-quality cocoa powder (sifted)
  • 100 grams dark brown muscovado sugar
  • 250 milliliters boiling water
  • 125 grams soft unsalted butter (plus some for greasing)
  • 150 grams caster sugar
  • 225 grams plain flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
FOR THE FROSTING
  • 125 milliliters water
  • 30 grams dark brown muscovado sugar
  • 175 grams unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 300 grams best-quality dark chocolate (finely chopped)

Method Pf devil Chocolate Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/gas mark 4/350°F.
  2. Line the bottoms of two 20cm / 8inch round sandwich tins with baking parchment and butter the sides.
  3. Put the cocoa and 100g / half cup dark muscovado sugar into a bowl with a bit of space to spare, and pour in the boiling water. Whisk to mix, then set aside.
  4. Cream the butter and caster sugar together, beating well until pale and fluffy; I find this easiest with a freestanding mixer, but by hand wouldn’t kill you.
  5. While this is going on – or as soon as you stop if you’re mixing by hand – stir the flour, baking powder, and bicarb together in another bowl, and set aside for a moment.
  6. Dribble the vanilla extract into the creamed butter and sugar – mixing all the while – then drop in 1 egg, quickly followed by a scoopful of the flour mixture, then the second egg.
  7. Keep mixing and incorporate the rest of the dried ingredients for the cake, then finally mix and fold in the cocoa mixture, scraping its bowl well with a spatula.
  8. Divide this fabulously chocolaty batter between the 2 prepared tins and put in the oven for about 30 minutes, or until a cake tester comes out clean.
  9. Take the tins out and leave them on a wire rack for 5–10 minutes, before turning the cakes out to cool.
  10. But as soon as the cakes are in the oven, get started on your frosting: put the water, 30g / 2 tablespoons muscovado sugar and 175g / 1 1/2 sticks butter in a pan over a low heat to melt.
  11. When this mixture begins to bubble, take the pan off the heat and add the chopped chocolate, swirling the pan so that all the chocolate is hit with heat, then leave for a minute to melt before whisking till smooth and glossy.
  12. Leave for about 1 hour, whisking now and again – when you’re passing the pan – by which time the cakes will be cooled, and ready for the frosting.
  13. Set one of the cooled cakes, with its top side down, on a cake stand or plate, and spread with about a third of the frosting, then top that with the second cake, regular way up, and spread the remaining frosting over the top and sides, swirling away with your spatula. You can go for a smooth look, but I never do and probably couldn’t.

  • 1 cup of Water
  • 1 cup of All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 115 grams Unsalted Butter
  • 4 Eggs at Room Temp
  • whipped cream
  • chocolate syrup

Method Of Profiteroles

  • Put the water butter and salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.Remove from heat.
  • Add flour mix well with a wooden spoon until the flour is completely mixed.. Put on medium heat. stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
  • Scrape the dough into a large bowl.With a wooden spoon, beat in the eggs one at a time until all four eggs are well incorporated.
    Spoon the dough onto prepared baking sheet, dip your finger into a little water and smooth out the edges to make sure that no small bits poking out.
  • Bake them for 45 minutes at 180 degrees in preheated oven and let cool for 30 minutes before filling.
  • My filling this time was whipped cream with sweetened condensed milk. Drizzled chocolate and dusted icing sugar on it.
